Mr. Laplante is an attorney in private practice. Prior to his legal training, he worked pipeline and obtained extensive experience as an inspector and project manager. Since obtaining his law degree from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada, he has been lead negotiator in several multi-million dollar ventures including projects owned by Bell Canada, Trans Canada Pipeline and Alliance Pipeline.

He is experienced in corporate law, telecommunications, commercial finance, equipment leasing, oil and gas regulation, litigation and international conflict of laws. His experience includes appearance before Boards, Tribunals and Superior Courts of Justice including the National Energy Board.

For several years he was house counsel for Digline working with Gerald Leroux on several of his pipeline projects in Canada. His extensive experience is very welcome at Phenix Energy Group.
